Public Adjuster Services

A public adjuster represents the policyholder in a property insurance claim. Unlike the insurance company’s adjuster, a public adjuster is retained by the policyholder to help review policy information, document the loss, prepare claim materials, and communicate with the insurer.

What a public adjuster may do

The scope depends on the agreement and the claim. Work may include inspecting damaged areas, organizing photographs and estimates, preparing inventories, tracking communications, reviewing insurer estimates, and discussing documented differences with the carrier.

When policyholders seek help

Some people ask for help soon after a loss. Others call when documentation has become difficult, an estimate appears incomplete, or a claim has been denied or underpaid. Available options depend on the policy, claim status, evidence, deadlines, and applicable law.

A policyholder-focused process
